Botanical Gardens + Walsingham Park Engagement
We started at the Walsingham Park playground. Why, you may ask? Because a certain purple dinosaur was there waiting for its moment in the spotlight of Lee and Marlene’s engagement session. I think it was the perfect way to begin our session!

Jeff + Heather = Married!
Jeff and Heather seem to mirror each other….so in sync that I couldn’t tell who started the karate chops at the cake cutting. Sometimes silly, all the time sweet, they march to the beat of their own drummer. During the formal portraits of the guys, I mentioned to Jeff that Heather looked absolutely beautiful. Jeff smiled and said, “I knew she would.”

Birmingham Botanical Gardens – Emily + Jason = Engaged!
It was freezing on the day of their session. FREEZING, I tell you! At least for someone like me, that lives in Florida and wears flip-flops 12 months of the year. For Jason, however, it was barely chilly. I guess when you are stationed in Alaska for a couple years your idea of cold changes. I’d rather not find that out firsthand, thank you very much! I will happily take your word for it.
Emily and Jason required very little prompting from me during their session. They love being together and it shows in every look that passes between them. It makes for organic photographs of two people in love. And that is exactly what they are!
Emily and Jason, congratulations on your engagement! Here’s to many, many happy years together…
Heritage Village + Downtown Clearwater Senior
I was surprised at how much time had passed. I photographed both of Micah’s sisters to commemorate their senior year. Since Micah is quite a bit younger than the two of them, it seemed like it would be a while before it was Micah’s turn. I guess this is a testament of how quickly time flies. I’m sure Micah’s parents would agree. 
Micah is one of those genuinely great people. Easy going, committed, hard working. (I’m also sure his parents are quite proud.) Micah, I know that wherever you end up and whatever you end up doing, it is going to be great. Just like you!

Alex and Nina: Tampa Wedding
Brides are generally extremely happy on their wedding day. Every once in a while I get to photograph a bride that isn’t just happy, but truly radiates happiness. Nina was one of those brides. And Alex matched her happiness smile for smile, all the while radiating contentment of his own.
My husband and I teamed up once more for this wedding. He performed the ceremony and as usual, I got to capture the moments through my camera. I love working with him. It brings back memories of the two of us saying our vows, promising each other forever. Thank you, Nina and Alex, for allowing us to be a part of your special day! I truly hope your life together is as beautiful as your wedding day.

Belleair Bluffs Family Session
I’ve seen the walls in their home. Pictures everywhere. Many of them pictures that I created. It is pretty cool to walk in and see how something so important to me is also important to them. Because pictures are more than just my job. They tell the story of a moment in time, which our feeble minds will not always be able to recall the details of in the years to come. So thank you, Bennett family, for allowing me to capture a part of your history each year. And thank you for cherishing the images we create!

The J Family at Ringling {Clearwater Family Photographer}
It is so special, and means so very much, when families return to me year after year for portraits. It really is an honor. This year marks the J Family’s fifth annual session. I’ll be posting a series of them through the years next. In the meantime, here are some highlights of this year. They are expecting baby number three, so next year’s session should be even more fun with a new baby!!!

St. Pete First Baptist Wedding + Coliseum Reception
September 24 was a wonderful day for Lenny and Nicole, and for all the friends and family that joined them in celebrating their beautiful wedding. Nicole was radiant, Lenny overjoyed. There was much laughter, love, and dancing. All in all, even the rain couldn’t touch this perfect day.
Nicole picked a gorgeous Alfred Angelo gown, from the Disney Princess collection. It complimented this princess perfectly!
The First Look. My husband, Nick, assisted and was the second shooter for me for the first time. His shots of the First look are on the left, while mine are on the right.
All the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres were handmade by the incredibly talented Lindsay Faye. The flowers were all made from scratch. Amazing!
First Baptist Church in St. Pete has an absolutely stunning sanctuary. The stained glass made for a unique and beautiful backdrop. And Kristen, the wedding coordinator from First Baptist, made sure everything ran smoothly.
Nicole’s good friend Betsi provided the music, and set the perfect mood for the ceremony.

Wedded bliss….
After the ceremony we snuck over to Vinoy Park for some more portraits. It was raining prior to the ceremony, so it worked out perfectly that we could shoot some more in the beautiful evening light.
Lenny’s gift to the groomsmen: monogrammed pocket watches. Nicely done, sir!
After portraits, we headed back to the reception at The Coliseum. The event styling for the reception was also the work of Lindsay Faye. She even made the cake topper. Cute, huh?
First dance…
Nicole danced with her Daddy, too!
After a bubble filled departure, the new Mr. and Mrs. made off in a getaway carriage. Like I said earlier, absolutely perfect for this princess and her prince.

Belleair Bluffs + Indian Rocks Beach Engagement
Every once in a while I get to photograph a couple that are so in sync that they finish each other’s sentences, break into mock fight scenes simultaneously and make identical funny faces without looking at each other. Jeff and Heather are one of those couples! They have fun together, which means I have fun photographing them. It could have been stressful, thanks to a HUGE storm with raging winds and pelting rain that literally appeared out of NOWHERE the evening of their session. But we hung in there, watched the radar (thank you iPhone for existing) and jetted to the beach to catch a few minutes of clear blue sky.
Jeff and Heather – I said this at your session, but I’ll say it again. Thank you for choosing me. It’s an honor to document this amazing time in your lives and I am so excited for January!
